1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading or using ScrapCut, you agree to these Terms of Use and to any applicable App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What ScrapCut does
ScrapCut is a planning tool for organizing material inventory, calculating cut layouts, reusing scraps and presenting AI-assisted explanations of verified cut plans. The app is intended to assist your planning, not replace your own judgment, measurements, workshop procedures or safety practices.
3. Measure and verify before cutting
Always verify dimensions, kerf, orientation, material condition, tool setup and the final layout before making a physical cut. Real-world materials and tools can differ from entered values.
You are responsible for deciding whether a generated plan is suitable for your material, equipment and intended use.
4. AI-assisted content
AI-generated explanations and tips can contain mistakes or unsuitable suggestions. ScrapCut's geometry is verified by the app's optimizer before AI explanation where that feature is used, but AI text remains informational. Do not rely on AI output as professional safety, engineering or manufacturing advice.
5. Workshop safety
ScrapCut does not provide tool-safety certification or professional training. Follow the instructions supplied with your tools and materials, use appropriate protective equipment, and follow applicable workplace and safety rules.
6. Accounts
If account features are available and you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining access to the authentication method you use and for activity performed through your account. You may request deletion as described on the Account Deletion page.
7. ScrapCut Premium and App Store purchases
ScrapCut may offer a non-consumable Premium purchase through Apple's App Store. Price, taxes, payment processing, refunds and purchase restoration are handled through Apple and the App Store rules applicable to your account and region. A successful eligible purchase unlocks the Premium entitlement made available by the app.
8. Advertising
The free version may show ads, including rewarded ads that users can choose to watch to unlock certain actions. Premium may remove advertising as described in the app at the time of purchase.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse ScrapCut, attempt to bypass security or purchase controls, interfere with the service, abuse AI/backend resources, reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited by law, or use the app in a way that violates applicable law.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, remove or change features to maintain security, reliability, compatibility or product quality. We do not guarantee that every feature or third-party service will remain available at all times.
11. Intellectual property
ScrapCut's app design, branding, original code, website content and related product materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you.
12. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScrapCut is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every material, tool or project.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the app, including material loss, rework, lost profits or damage caused by relying on an incorrect measurement, plan or AI suggestion. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Apple terms
If no custom end-user license agreement is provided for ScrapCut in App Store Connect, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. You can review it on Apple's legal website.
15. Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, mandatory rights and protections under the law of your country or region continue to apply and are not excluded by these Terms.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when the app, business model or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted here with the updated date.
